The Lynwood Avenue Destination Imagination team has advanced to compete at Global Finals in Kansas City, Missouri, this May. The team qualified after placing first in its category at the statewide competition earlier this month.

In addition to the first-place win, Lynwood received the Renaissance Award at the state competition for outstanding design, engineering, execution and performance. The announcer at the state competition called the team’s performance a “Broadway-level production,” and said, “The team used this as an opportunity to educate the audience on communication, conflict resolution and establishing boundaries in today's technological age.”

Global Finals is the culminating event where top tier teams from more than 30 countries come together to present their solutions and take on challenges. The district wishes Lynwood the best of luck!
