Superintendent's Office

Dear Sachem Family,
Welcome back to the 2023/24 school year. I hope this letter finds you all well. As we prepare to embark on another exciting academic year, we want to extend our warmest greetings and heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support in making our school a nurturing and thriving learning environment. In our schools, we believe that education is a collaborative effort that involves not just the teachers and staff but also the parents and caregivers.

We value the unique perspectives and contributions each one of you brings to our community. Together, we can create a positive and enriching experience for our students, preparing them to be confident, compassionate, and responsible global citizens.
To our returning parents and staff, thank you for your continuous dedication and commitment to the growth and development of our students. Your tireless efforts and collaboration have contributed to the success of our school community, and we look forward to another fruitful year together.

For our new parents and staff joining us this year, we extend a special welcome. We are thrilled to have you as part of the Sachem Family, and we are confident your unique talents and perspectives will add to the richness of our school community.
We understand the importance of open communication between parents, staff, and the school. Please know that our doors are always open to address any concerns or suggestions you may have. Parent-teacher meetings, newsletters, and the communication of school-wide events will ensure that we maintain strong connections and partnerships with each of you. In Sachem schools, we are dedicated to fostering an environment that encourages intellectual curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
Since safe and secure schools are always a priority, to start the new school year we welcome nine new security guards that will be utilized in various roles throughout the district. We also budgeted for and placed licence plate readers at every school campus, so we know exactly who is coming onto our property. I wish to also double down if you will on our "Culture of Care". All students, staff and parents need to feel they are welcomed and cared for in our schools.

As we begin this new academic year, we embrace the opportunities and challenges it may bring. Together, we will celebrate accomplishments, overcome obstacles, and create lasting memories that will shape the lives of our students for years to come.
Thank you for entrusting us with the education and well-being of your children. We are honored to be part of their educational journey and are committed to making it a rewarding and fulfilling experience.
Once again, welcome back and let's make this school year one of growth, learning, and success!  Staff and faculty, I look forward to seeing you on September 5th for a day of Professional Development. Parents, I hope to see you at drop off on day one, Wednesday, September 6th.
