The Board of Education is composed of nine community members elected
by district residents to serve overlapping three-year terms of office.
The Board has the responsibility to ensure that all students receive the
best education possible, as well as to express and represent the views
of the community in matters affecting education. Board members
volunteer their service to the community and are not financially
compensated. Voting for school board takes place in the spring on the
same day as the annual budget vote. Announcements notices of Board of
Education meetings are posted at all schools and on this site.

If you are not able to attend a Board of Education meeting, however wish to submit a statement for the Visitor’s Section of the agenda, please send an email to the District Clerk at email@example.com. Please keep in mind that the same regulations apply to submitting an email. Questions or comments regarding a specific student or member of personnel will not be addressed in public session. All statements should be kept to the 3 minute time limit. Statements and opinions expressed will not result in a discussion by the Board of Education, except where appropriate.
